The information place for everything related to the UPOA club.
The Utah Pony of Americas Club is dedicated to helping families enjoy the adventure of horse stewardship, showing and games. We invite everyone that is interested in having a good time with their POA's to join with us. Our club is the Utah affiliate of the international Pony of the Americas club.
We sponsor shows every month during the summer. Mark our show schedule on your calendar. In addition, we have other non-show activities including our annual "Trunk or Treat", Horse Expo, Awards dinner, parades and fun shows. Come on out and see what we are all about.
POA's are a wonderful breed for both kids and adults. They have a minumum height of 42 inches and a maximum height of 14 hands (56 inches). POA coat patterns vary widely. Two of the most common colorations are a "blanket" pattern, which is characterized by white over the loin and hips with dark, round, spots or a "leopard" pattern which is a white body with multiple dark spots. These spots may vary in size from tiny specks to four or more inches in diameter. Some blanket patterns will show white over the hips without dark spots. This variation on the blanket pattern is known as snow-capped. Leopard ponies with sparsely spotted coats are appropriately termed few-spot leopards.
We would like to invite you to participate in the Utah Pony of the Americas club.
